Work At Home Blues
But it wasn’t until I attended the weekly Google Hangout with the group I belong to; “Our Power Blogging Tribe” that it dawned on me that I needed to “HEAR” those voices; I needed to “LAUGH” with those friends; I needed to converse back and forth in “REAL TIME” with the friends I have made on the internet.
By the time we ended our Hangout (which slipped by us and ended up being 1-1/2 hours) before we knew it, I was in a great mood, excited about what I do and ready to get started again. Each of us had given the others ideas to work on and the inspiration made a tremendous difference for ALL of us.
There are going to be times, especially when working at home that you are busy and others are busy and maybe you cannot talk to someone but don’t let that time go on too long without talking to a real person. The internet is all about building relationships and getting to know one another but not just for business reasons. We all need human interaction and contact to survive.
So, the next time you make a contact either on Facebook, Twitter or any other social site, think about what this contact could mean for the other person and for yourself. Maybe this person you contacted is in the same “work at home blues” mode that I was in and you could be the one to bring a smile and laughter to their day.
I wish each and every one of you a great week.
