Oops, This is What Happens When You Don’t Follow Directions
I’ve been using AWeber for a while now as my autoresponder and I will admit I haven’t taken the time to learn it as well as I should have.
I usually and I’m sure that most of you do too; look up the directions for something you need at any given moment for what you are working on.
I realized today that I had not linked my AWeber account to my blog, so when I updated my blog, it was not going out to my readers.
Ok, no problem. Head over to AWeber and find the instructions on how to do that. Easy enough, I find the directions, enter my information and send out a “test message.”
Yikes….. I set it to go out automatically without previewing it first. How embarrassing is that? So, this is what my readers received today…
…A notice of my new blog post with no header, generic links that go to AWeber, nothing about me and only my name and contact information in the bottom right corner.
So, I’m making another blog post to explain and “hoping” that I do it right this time. AWeber is an awesome tool to work with but it’s only as good as the “operator.”
This “operator (me),” was obviously out to lunch for a while this afternoon.
If this second email that goes out is another flop, please bear with me until I “read the directions” completely this time.
