Goals In Life – Impossible is Just a Word
Do you set Goals In Your Life? How many times have you had dreams of being rich or successful or happy with your relationships? You dream big dreams, have goals in life and have great enthusiasm but when it doesn’t happen as fast as you think it should, you give up or move on to something else. Those dreams remain just that – dreams, collecting dust in our attic.
At some point in your life you have probably dreamt of being somebody special, somebody big. Who hasn’t fantasized about being the football hero or the homecoming queen?
Life could be so much better, if only we learned to aim higher instead of getting caught up with living day-to-day just barely getting by.
Setting the goals is the easy part. Following through with them is usually the problem that holds us back. Once you set that goal, then doubt starts creeping in…and can cause you to think, “I can’t do this. It’s too hard. It’s too impossible. No one can do this”.
Just think, if Thomas Edison, Henry Ford or even Jonas Salk (known for his discovery and development of the polio vaccine) let those same doubts creep in and kept them from trudging on with their goals. We would have no lights, no cars and certainly many more people would have died from polio.
If you set your goals and do nothing about working towards your goals, you will find yourself still “thinking” about that impossible dream, limiting yourself with doubt and believing you will never be able to achieve your dream. You are your own worst enemy if you allow it.
Write down some goals in your life;
- Things you KNOW you can do.
- Things you MIGHT be able to do.
- Things that are IMPOSSIBLE for you to do.
Every day try to accomplish the things ‘you KNOW you can do’ and check them off as you complete them. Next, start working on the things ‘you MIGHT be able to do.’
As you complete the ‘Things you MIGHT be able to do’, move them under the heading of ‘Things you KNOW you can do.’ Congratulate yourself! You have now completed goals that you thought you MIGHT be able to do to what you KNOW you can do and have done. Now move the goals that are under ‘Things that are IMPOSSIBLE for you to do’ to the list of things ‘you MIGHT be able to do’ and work on those slowly and with the same determination you did with the previous goals.
As you work towards accomplishing your goals, you will find out that the goals you thought were impossible become much easier to accomplish. And the impossible begins to seem possible after all.
Do not limit your imagination. Start working towards those goals and aim high but also remember to set realistic goals for yourself.
Those who just dream towards a goal without working hard end up disappointed and disillusioned.
All of this holds true if you want to attain a better lifestyle for you and your family in starting a new internet business.
Thomas Edison once said that genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration. It doesn’t come as easy as some make it sound, especially on the internet. Just because the internet is at a fast pace, does not mean a new business startup will grow overnight. There is money to be made on the internet but for one to accomplish his or her dreams, there has to be had work and discipline, ideas for a new business and a business plan.
.
Step out of your comfort zone and make your “dreams become a reality.” Start with learning all you can on “How to Start a New Business.” Remember the saying, “No pain, No gain”? No truer words have ever been spoken.
Don’t get caught up with perceived limitations that you or anyone else may impose upon your new business venture. Only you know what you want and how to accomplish that and you will find out that the “impossible” has just become a little bit more possible.

@windshield repair Utah, Thank you. I think at times we all need just a little “nudge” to inspire us again to go after what we want and deserve in life.

@James Powell, Thanks for your comment James. I sometimes think we all need a little “boost” or a “kick in the rump” so to speak to get us back on track and renew our spark for what “our goals are”.
Nice article Monna, it is true our only limitations are those we put on ourselves so I often tell those I mentor with to get out of their way!
