Upward Bound On The Social Train!

One of the most prominent trends in internet marketing today is the trend of social media. Social media is getting rapidly increasing in important.

Whether you’re a solo entrepreneur working from your house or a Fortune 500 company, you simply cannot afford to ignore social media anymore.

==> Studies Show Buying Decisions Are Influenced

Studies show that the majority of consumers today are influenced in one way or another by the posts of their friends.

If a friend recommends a brand, a place, a movie or a restaurant through social media, that person is much more likely to become a customer of that establishment.

On the other hand, if a friend complains about a business through social media, research also shows that consumers are much less likely to buy from that place.

In other words, what people say about you on social media plays a big part in consumers’ buying decisions today.

==> People Are More Willing to Share Links

When social media was first launched, people were cautious of sharing links. Sharing a link on Facebook appeared similar to sharing a link in an email, which seemed almost spam-like. In email, posting too many links is socially discouraged.

Today however, users understand that sharing links on Facebook or Twitter is perfectly acceptable behavior. Users are sharing more and more links today.

That means that if you publish top-notch content or do something innovative, the potential for your content to make its way around the internet is much higher.

==> Networks Influence One Another

The cross-pollination of social media networks is also getting increasingly faster. A post that gets popular on Reddit is rapidly going to get shared on Facebook. Something posted on Facebook will quickly be link shortened and posted on Twitter.

With or without your help, your social network is going to cross-post and cross-pollinate with other social media networks. The reach of good content and good promotions through social media is larger today than it has ever been.

==> Social Sentiment

One hotly debated topic is whether or not search engines can actually read the sentiment inside comments and tweets.

After all, if there are 1,000 tweets about “I Love Brand X,” it shouldn’t have the same impact as 1,000 tweets about “I Hate Brand X.”

The general consensus is that Google can actually read comment sentiment to some degree. Of course it can’t read highly complex comments yet, but by and large Google can distinguish between positive sentiment and negative sentiment.

It’s believed that sentiment plays a large role in rankings – as large as the number of shares itself.

==> Social Influence

The authority of the tweets, mentions, likes, +1?s etc are, of course, a measurement of how powerful each creator is. If they have a lot of followers and a strong brand, a mention or share from them weighs more than if they were a brand new account.

==> Starting to Influence Search Results

Social media is starting to influence search results. Getting exposure in social media is going to help you increase your rankings in the search engines.

All this adds up to one thing: Social Media is getting more and more important by the day. In the past, social media could be just another marketing tactic you dabbled in. Today, however, it needs to be an integral part of any good business strategy.

Social influence is also beginning to be factored into SEO and shares from influencers in your niche can cause your content to perform favorably in the future!

If you haven’t already gotten your foot in the door, start by choosing one network to master. Start with Facebook or Twitter, then move on to bookmarking sites like StumbleUpon and Reddit. Learn the system, build an audience and get in the habit of regularly posting great content.

A Break From Internet Marketing and Information Overload

Many, many people are rushing towards the internet in an attempt to start blogging or affiliate marketing. While you are in the learning process and taking in all this information, even though you are excited and inspired to create your first $1, there are times that you need to take A Break From Internet Marketing and Information Overload. Everyone knows that if you keep pushing yourself and become exhausted, you are not going to produce your best work and in the beginning of your new online business, you cannot afford to make costly mistakes; overwork and information overload will do that to you before you know it.

I fall prey to this type of thinking sometimes myself; I think I HAVEto get it done now or if I am not working as many hours as possible, then my new business will not succeed.

Yesterday, I took a much needed break and spent the day with a friend whom I have known since we were both about 6 years old (hmmm, that’s about ?? years ago).  As for my computer, I checked email in the morning to make sure there was nothing that I needed to take care of ASAP and the same in the evening.

Otherwise the day was absolutely ALL about 2 good friends, feeling like we were in our teens again; shopping, eating lunch, talking about when we were growing up, what it’s like to get older, etc.

Fridays are usually my blogging days to update my blog, check my affiliate marketing sites to make sure everything is working properly and generally checking the overall progress of my online business.  Did I worry about it?  Yes, I did some but today after having the day off yesterday, I realize I have a much clearer mind on what my goals are, what I need to do in terms of productivity today for my internet business.

The human body is not made to continuously work hour after hour and expected to perform at its peak without taking breaks and resting; including body and mind.  I’m betting the main reason you decided to try internet marketing and start an online business is to be able to work less and spend more time with your family and friends;  right?

In order to make money online, it is true that you do have to devote some extra time to learn, set things in motion and produce valuable content in order to get where you want to be but not at the expense of your health, body and mindset. You have to find an outlet, a way to relieve tension and stress that you build up while trying to create your home business.  Blogging could be your creative outlet.  You could concentrate on a specific topic or write about your daily life or if you have a hobby that you can turn in to an online business.

Relaxation and hypnotherapy are also other alternatives to relieving stress in just about every area of your life from just simply sitting quietly, relaxed and breathing deep and letting go of all negative thoughts, to listening to recordings to lead you in relaxation techniques. So whatever you are going through in your life; business or personal, finding a way to change your mindset or learning how to relieve tension in what ever ways you find relaxing is another piece of the puzzle you “Must Have.”

Internet Marketing With Smart Goals

As an internet marketer for the last 4 to 5 years, testing and trying out and working with different businesses in order to create passive income has been my main goal, that will result in me being able to work totally from the internet.  We read, we learn, we download, we create, we think, we write notes, etc. but UNLESS you start internet marketing with smart goals, then you will be pretty much like myself and many others have been for a while; “spinning your wheels.”

Making money has been sporadic for me in the past but then again I also have no one to blame but myself.  I always managed to come up with excuses of why I can or cannot do something.  The main problem is that I did not believe in myself which has affected my success in many more ways than one.

The longer I work on the internet and the closer I am getting to my personal goals and financial goals of being independently working from the internet by June 30, 2012, I’ve realized I’ve been my own worst enemy.  It seems once I set my deadline, things started to fall in place.  I have made myself accountable to everyone that I have told about my goals and I hate to let myself or anyone else down.

Internet marketing and smart goals are not just words that you throw around and I don’t care how many fancy cars you stand in front of and say “Hey, I’m making a living on the internet.”  You have to do the work, walk the walk and talk the talk; they have to be words you live and breathe in order to get to your personal goals and financial goals.

I’ve joined Network Marketing VT with a few friends that I value their opinion very much.  Also I’ve realized I do believe in myself and it’s not always necessarily the program you choose, it’s the attitude you have and the mentors you work with;  put this all together, this is what is going to get YOU and I to our independent status that we so richly deserve.

Most of you that know me, are all too aware that I hate to make videos but I am doing it and will work at them until I become better at making them.  I didn’t ride a bike very well the first time either.

Forgive the shaking movements, I definitely have not mastered holding a video camera, driving and making a video at the same time but my message to you is genuinely something I believe in.

Have you ever tried to play a game of ping pong or tennis without a partner?  You will very quickly find that it cannot be done; at best all you can do is knock the ball against a wall and hit it back with the same result over and over.

Working on the internet in an MLM company can be close to the same thing, if you are out there by yourself trying to play games or run your business.  If you do not have team members that are on the same page as you are and do not have the same goals in mind you may as well be batting your head against the wall like that tennis ball or ping pong ball and you will gets the same results.

You can talk to people on the net about your business and try and convince them to join but if they join your business basically just to “shut you up” you have not gained a team member, you have gained a non working spot holder.

If you cannot show effective leadership, enthusiasm and dedication, you cannot expect to build a team that has the same goals as you have and you are going to get no where – fast.

A marketing training system that we all can learn from and from people who have been in this business a lot longer than you or I have is going to be your best chance of success and to develop a marketing strategy. There is always something new for each of us to learn.  Each person has different strengths and when you open yourself up to the possibilities and believe that you can achieve your dreams, then nothing can stop you.  You cannot make anyone else have the same dream as you but you can find people who have their own dreams with the same goal or end result.

As a team member of NMVT, we have the chance to work with many in this industry who have different reasons for working with an MLM company but the end result is the same for all of us; to learn to make a better life for our family and to pass on the knowledge we have to others following our path.

Right now part of my team is at The No Excuses Summit in Las Vegas, Nevada (I’m so jealous but I plan on sitting right there with them the next time), learning all that they can, to bring more information and more training back to us; their team.

I have been part of many teams and have met some great people who have turned out to be very good internet friends.  Others have signed up with what seems to be the intentions of getting something for nothing.  There are always going to be those types out there.  Your goal is to seek out those that do have the same passion that you do and have every intention on reaching the same goals.

Working with tools on the internet is just a part of the overall effort. There are many, many tools to work with but it depends on your work habits of what will do the best for you.

It is true that you can make a living on the internet for very low start up costs but let’s be realistic, there will be some costs in starting an internet business and the sooner you realize there are no totally free shortcuts the better off you are going to be.

Most of the time I get stuck trying to decide on a topic to write about on my blog; of course most of us write about internet marketing and how to make money online.   People say just write as if you were talking to a friend, make it valuable information and if people are interested in what you write, they will stay and read and keep returning.

Some will share with others and some will never come back.  Trying to keep your blog focused on one specific topic or “niche” is sort of hard, especially if you have so many interests.

Confusion

So who do you please?  Your readers or Google or both?  Google changes things so many times and it is getting hard to keep up.

You know what?  I’ve always been different and in order to reach my intended goal, I have to do things “my way” and see where it takes me.

I still have this J.O.B. that I want to desperately quit and have made my goal to be full time on the internet by June 30, 2012 but if I don’t get my rear in gear, that will never happen.  So from here on in; I’m just being me.

Maybe you will be interested in what I have to share, maybe not but obviously I’m not moving forward by not doing anything and guess what?  You won’t either…  Are you in the same predicament I am in?

I don’t want to give away too many secrets, but here are a few updates. The original idea for a social network that benefited Causes will be integrated throughout our new advertising platform. Advertisers will be able to support Causes, Publishers will be able to support Causes, and Tag Traders will be able to support causes. It is going to be very unique and special. We are building very useful widgets that Publishers will be dying to have on their pages. And, we feel, advertisers will be lining up to use.

In addition, we are enhancing the tagvillage website a lot over the next few weeks. We are adding almost all of the research data you can find on websites such as Google Adsense, KeywordSpy, and others. So, when you search for a Tag, you will see complete detailed information you would expect to see on many other keyword research sites.

So, this is my post.  Google come get me or sandbox me; I’m on a mission and I don’t have time to piddle around with stuff that does not get me to my goal.

JSS Tripler:  This past week, I earned $81.20 which includes 2% interest and commissions from April 1 through April 6, 2012.  I initially started out with about $20 or $30 investment and have withdrawn well over that since I joined (withdrawn $104.24 according to my AlertPay account).  My bad, I did not keep a record from the beginning of my transactions because to tell you the truth, I didn’t think this would still be active and paying; but it is.  I joined JBP/JSS Tripler, back in July of 2011.   I will admit I did not read and study the program as I should have or I would have made a lot more money.  Now that I have educated myself on how JBP and JSS works and how to earn extra cash; the payoff is starting to increase.  I just received a $60 payment the other day for a matrix being filled.  I believe I have another 1 or 2 that will pay out $60 each in the next week or so.

My new venture that I have just started this past week is Network Marketing VT.  I’m still in the process of setting up my autoresponder email series and going through the training videos, attending the wake up morning calls, lead generating and the performance coaching webinars.  This is a bit of a change for me; usually I do not join any programs that require a downline or 1, 2 or 3 up systems but this was recommended very highly to me by a friend and I love working with Dana Tisdel and many of the other friends I have made there already.  As I am new at NMVT, I don’t have any monetary report to give you.
