It has now been just a little over 1 month since Tag Village launched (February 10, 2011) and although it is still in “beta phase,” things are working perfectly.  The CEO and staff are working hard every day to keep on schedule with the additions and continuing developments.

The Tag Village members have already received the first “Accumulated Profit Shares” based on Activity Points in their accounts just in the last few days.  The activity counters that have been running in the background all along are now visible in the back office.  Exactly how the “Activity Points” are calculated is a closely guarded secret to prevent cheating.

I have worked with Kooday almost from the beginning and I will admit I was a little lost when I started with Kooday but the more I have worked with it and the experience I have gained is proving to be very valuable in Tag Village.  Even with my mistakes in Kooday, I am receiving a pay out each week and it is paying for the monthly charge of my autoresponder.

In the last few months, I have developed a better understanding of tags and keywords and how they can “help and/or hurt” you when it comes to SEO for your website or blog.

I was talking with a friend of mine, Mike Martin the other night about the fact that you can still earn money from Tag Village and Kooday without ever having a referral at all.  Of course it always helps to have referrals but your success is not dependent upon them.  In fact, Mike has been in Tag Village for less time than I have and his increased activity has earned him more Profit Shares than I received and he has no referrals at all.

How to find a niche for marketing on the internet.  It’s a question that is asked over and over, especially if you are new and just starting out.  There are millions of “niches” everywhere you look.  Niches could be and ARE staring you right in the face and you probably don’t even recognize them.

A Niche can be described as “having a specific target or appeal.”  You may think that something you are interested in or enjoy doing would not be of any interest to anyone else.  You may be very well surprised to see, with a little research that your interests are also those of many, many people.

For example, let’s look at the hobby of scrapbooking.  If you do a search on Google for the word:

*  Scrapbooking, you will find that there are; About 17,600,000 results.

*  Scrapbooking supplies shows a result of: About 1,800,000 results.

*  Scrapbooking supplies in Florida gives About 344,000 results.

This narrows the niche down from a broad subject of scrapbooking to where you can find Scrapbooking supplies in Florida.  So if you own a scrapbooking store in Florida, you can take advantage of both online and offline people searching for what you have to sell.

So what has finding a niche and keyword research got to do with TagVillage?

Keyword research and/or tag research is the basis of TagVillage and Kooday.  It is all a matter of checking to see what keywords are “HOT” and what keywords will move or sell fast for short term profit, versus finding keywords that will provide a long term profit for you for years to come.  Keywords all come down to “niches” as mentioned above.

Today, a select few members of TagVillage got the chance to do a couple of test runs for the programmers.  I’m one of the lucky ones to be a “tester”.   We were all given “X” amount of credits (some received different amounts) to work with and we did two testing sessions that were about 30 minutes each.

Talk about exciting and fast-paced…  That does not even begin to describe it.   Of course in a testing environment the pace was still not as fast as it will be when all the “kinks” are worked out and everyone, even FREE members are allowed to trade for 24 to 48 hours.

I took a screen shot of my testing account today.  I started out with 100 credits and at the end of 30 minutes, my account showed $400.98 which was a $300.98 profit that would have been available for payout, had this not just been a test.

• We will continue to conduct controlled testing with our limited test group
• We will implement live Payment Processing by the end of our work day on Friday

• We will launch the official start of Live Actual Trading at 10:00 AM USA Central Time on Wednesday, February 9, 2011

Remember, the Live Testing that will be conducted with ALL MEMBERS will start at 8:00 AM on Monday. This will include all members, even those who have not purchased any Credits yet. Every person who has registered with TagVillage by 7:59:59 AM on Monday will be included and will be “granted” 100 Pretend Credits to test with. What are we going to do? Well, first of all, we are going to test the system with a pre-selected handful of “Stress Testers” sometime this weekend or right at the first of next week. After they give us their thumbs up, we will then open the “Stress Testing Phase” up to the ENTIRE MEMBERSHIP, even FREE members!

TagVillage is still in the “Beta Testing Phase.”  This is not a finished product.  It is a product in development… These are the words that are scrolling across the top of the back office in TagVillage.

While some people are still irritated and annoyed about the delays, personally I see it as a chance to learn more about TagVillage and how to best use your invested money to gain the most profit, both short term and long term.

So you may be wondering, “What is any different than what we have now?”  For the first time in history, you will be rewarded for social interaction, sharing a video, chatting, making a post, etc.  Your activity will earn you credits.

TagVillage represents an opportunity to earn on a global network of contacts and associates and be rewarded for inviting.  Personal referrals come in to TagVillage and referrals credits convert to dollar.

TagVillage is FREE to join and use for social interaction but you have to fund your account with a minimum of $5 in order to trade (buy/sell) keywords.

4 ways to earn

1.  Weekly profit shares are paid every Monday.   Use the site, make a post, upload photos and/or videos and chat, etc.  This will accumulate points all week.  The points will be converted to profit shares which = Income.

2.  Tag trading/selling.  Tags are keywords or phrases.   Short term earnings happen when someone buys your keyword from you at the cost you paid, plus 15% commission which is your profit.  All tags start at 10 cents each.

3.  Referral commissions.  Refer to TagVillage and if your referral decides to join, you will earn 10% of the referrals activity – IF you are a funded member.

4.  Tag-Vertiser Commissions.  Own a tag and when an advertiser puts an ad on TagVillage targeting a word or phrase you own, TagVillage pays you 20%.  Just like on Google PPC (pay per click) your tags or phrases you own will be linked to paid ads.

TagVillage is also committed to helping community with 10% of gross profits each and every week being donated to charitable causes.  You can specify that all or just part of your profit shares be donated to charity.
