Creative Writing and Creating Your Own Journals

Creative Writing and Creating Your Own Journals

Did you realize that since CreateSpace on Amazon gives us the tools to create books, you can now create your own “diaries or journals” the way that you want them to look?

For example, I love roses and I created one with a rose on each page that I write on. One that I can either color in or leave as it is or use a different ink stamp of a different rose on each page; as in the pictures.

I also love to use stickers on my journaling pages. Of course you can do this with any type of journal or diary that you use but creating your own personalized book just sounds so awesome to me.

I have created a couple of journals for myself. Just something to think about.

What would your journal or diary look like if you were to create your own?

Do you have an idea for a journal or diary that you would like to be created just for you?  Let’s talk and see what your idea is and create one “Just” for you.

I’ve been toying with the idea of making a journal like this in landscape format which I think would be easier to write in.

What are your thoughts on this?  Leave a comment below and sharing is appreciated.

Dancing in the Livingroom

Dancing in the Livingroom

Dancing in the Livingroom

Dancing in the LivingroomAs I listened to a song on the car radio, I began remembering, oft times while listening to our favorite country songs, my husband would sometimes get up without a word and take me in his arms and we would “Dance in the Livingroom.”

Such a wonderful memory and often I hear songs and I remember those times. Songs have a way of bringing back memories. I wonder if in the back of my mind, the song triggers those memories because I cannot remember the songs he chose to take me “Dancing in the Livingroom.”

It was quite a few years ago but sometimes I can still remember the strength of his arms around me and even when he “dipped” me.

My husband was a romantic soul with a heart of gold. Many men, at least the ones I have known in the past were not romantic or just wouldn’t admit it.

I talked to a friend from high school the other day; a man. We were a group of teenagers who were living life to the fullest at the time. To this day and it was so surprising to me for him to remember things that happened to us in the group and better yet to admit that he remembered such small incidents.

As we get older, we realize it is true that “love is wasted on the youth.” We were all different back then and who was to know that those “boys” we knew as teenagers would some day become romantic souls too.

I wonder if I asked one of them to take me “Dancing in the Livingroom”; would they understand and take me in their arms to dance or laugh at the romantic dreamer that I am?

Battered Angel

Battered Angel

Battered_AngelLittle one, Little one
What have they done?
Laying there so battered and bruised
What monster inflicted this abuse?

You never asked to be brought into this world
Such a small trusting soul only wanting to be loved
Instead was treated no better than a target for displaced anger

She cries, Why Mommy, Why Daddy?
Did you let this happen?
What did I do to deserve this pain from those I love?

I may not make it through the night
But I love you and forgive you
Please ask God to forgive you, for not protecting me from you.

Dear Past Me,

I would like to tell you that you made a lot of mistakes in your life but for the most part of your early life, you did well with what you were dealt and as a result of some of your decisions.

Number one, even though he turned out not to be the “Love of my Life,” we did create a beautiful daughter who has grown into a beautiful, loving and caring woman and a wonderful mother to her two children.  That is one thing I would never change about my life; having my daughter.
